KENPO/KEMPO
The word kenpo/kempo means law of the fist in its Okinawan/Japanese heritage The reason for this to be displayed and discussed in a yin/yang principle is because of 3 primary people. James Mitose, Kwai Sun Chow and Edmund Parker. This martial art became widely known and famous because of their contributions to this art. Kenpo/Kempo is a system that is based on 108 combination movements of the Shaolin system an emphasis on lightening fast hand movements that include linear and circular trapping techniques and series of deflection hand blocks. Kicking in this system is held to the mid to lower extremities of the body allowing checking movements which allow the quick explosive movement the defender will need when stalked by more then one assailant.
